For many people, the thought of spending the day skiing through picturesque scenery over a glistening layer of fresh snow is everything that a winter break is all about. The difference here though is that the spa treatments that it offers are not aimed at helping people to relax and wind down at the end of the day’s activities. Instead, the treatments offered are designed to reinvigorate you so that you can hit the slopes with renewed energy. The treatments offered are short, rejuvenating, and include “Kick Off Your Boots” and “Warm Up Your Hands and Toes,” a mixture of hand and foot massages just long enough to defrost from the chilly temperatures and effective enough to make you want to head out for more.
And if you have merely worked up an appetite and have returned to the hotel for an energy boost, small bites are available, light but satisfying snacks such as cherry tomatoes, parmesan shavings, and a drizzling of balsamic vinegar complete the mini sessions. Or maybe the accompanying champagne cocktail will be just the kick that you need.
The new spa and snack program may be designed to be quickly administered but that doesn’t in any way mean that the Viceroy has skimped on the more traditional spa facilities. The hotel offers a 7,000 square foot space of sheer tranquility with holistic services and treatments inspired by traditional Asian, Nordic, and Ute ceremonies as well as the more usual range of massages and facial treatments.
